Well the spinning workshop was a success! Despite the fact that the instructor was unable to attend due to the forces of nature, we decided to have a 3 day spin-in and I learned a lot from the talented women with whom I spent the weekend. These are my first forays into the world of spinning with color. The first 2 were pre-blended to create a very subtle play of color, which meant I didn't have to do much except spin it as it was.
This 3rd skein was spun using a merino top knot in bright colors, which I manually mixed and blended during the spinning and plying processes. I was quite pleased with the way it came out and I can't wait to see how it knits up!

those are beautiful. how fun.
Gorgeous yarns!
I have to say, as a photographer I'm pretty impressed with your photos. The VAST majority of product shots I see people take are...well...nothing like yours. Great job and beautiful yarns. Going to show my wife your site.
Thank you very much! It is quite difficult to photograph textiles. I have put a lot of effort into improving my photos. I really appreciate the compliments!
Love your blog!
Joline, your handspuns are beautiful! Your colors are uplifting. I think you have a future as a spinner :o) I have just discovered your Blog (you commented on mine and I see you on the EtsyFast list) and it's wonderful. I like how your mind works. Our world is better for the positive people in it! I'll be back, beside, you have great photos!
Thanks Deborah! What's your blog's address again? I'm pretty new to blogging and I don't know if I bookmarked you!
